Vampires, Witches, and Geeks, oh my!

BioI'm a writer living in eastern/central Massachusetts, doing the day job as a technical writer. I write quiet horror -- or, as I call it, horror for wimps. My world is a world of vampires, witches, and geeks (oh, my!), with the witches (Wiccans) being the good guys.
My short stories are more "Twilight Zone" than "Scream," and I'm just as likely to be cooing over the cute kittens on YouTube as I am to be reading about vampires. Two of my short stories have been accepted for horror anthologies: "Metaphorically Speaking" will be in "Northern Haunts" and "Dying to See You Again" will be in the Pretty-Scary Anthology (details on both coming soon). My non-fiction articles on ancient lore have been published in the last three issues of The Witches' Almanac.
Recently I started an internet radio show called "Vampires, Witches, and Geeks." You can listen to, download, or subscribe to episodes by going to http://podcast.morvenwestfield.com
My second novel, THE OLD POWER RETURNS, was released in June 2007. My first novel, DARKSOME THIRST, was published in June 2003 and entered its second printing in November, 2004. In 2007, the German verison, BRUT DER FIN FINSTERNIS, was published by Verlag Otherworld in Austria.
I'm a member of the Horror Writers' Association (HWA), New England Horror Writers (NEHW), and Broad
Universe. I'm the webmaster and forum admin for NEHW and a member of the Motherboard of Broad Universe.
